The Rotary Club of Westchester consists of men and women of the greater Westchester/LAX business and professional community.

The Rotary world is divided into groups of clubs known as Rotary Districts. Today, there are more than 500 districts in more than 160 countries and geographic territories across the globe.

Rotary International celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2005. The first club was organized in Chicago and the fifth Rotary Club was founded in Los Angeles. The Rotary Club of Westchester is located in District 5280, which includes clubs from throughout the Los Angeles area.

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • First. The development of acquaintances as an opportunity for service.
  • Second. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
  • Third. The application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to personal, business, and community life.
  • Fourth. The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

Every Rotarian strives to live his/her professional and personal life according to Rotary's Four-Way Test:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
