PROMOTING LITERACY IN OUR COMMUNITY

Since 1955

Books. Community. Connection.

Every Memorial Day holiday weekend, the Westchester Rotary Club hosts our Annual Book Sale!

After more than 70 years, it's an event that Westchester looks forward to and an opportunity to connect with our community!

Our books come directly from local residents and other community partners, helping them clear out space and helping us stack our tables with thousands of books: novels, art books, hardcovers, paperbacks, coffee table books and more!

It's a special partnership that we will always value!

2026 Book Sale!

Rotarians are now hard at work collecting and sorting books! If you have a large donation of books and would like to schedule a pickup, please email us at westchester.rotary@gmail.com!

If you have a few books to donate, we will have a donation bin at the Westchester Family YMCA toward the end of April 2026. Please follow us at https://www.facebook.com/WestchesterRotary90045 for the exact dates when they're available!

The more books we sell, the more we can make a

positive impact!

The proceeds from our Annual Book Sale are put right back into the community! The Book Sale allows us to continue our charitable service, near and far. Some of the projects the proceeds benefit include:

  • Distributing scholarships for graduating high schoolers
  • Providing support to our local seniors
  • Supporting community events like WAM and the Fourth of July Parade
  • Hosting our Makeover Project
  • Humanitarian aid to communities in Central and South America
  • and so much more!

Literacy For All

Our Annual Book Sale is a community favorite because it promotes literacy for all!

We sell gently used books for just a few dollars each, making reading accessible to just about everyone.

From children's books and cookbooks to fiction and non-fiction alike, every shopper can find something special to add to their book shelves, to gift or to read and then add to our Little Library!

Visit us each Memorial Weekend at the Ralphs parking lot (corner of Sepulveda and Howard Drollinger Way) for the Book Sale!
